The Freeform model was then imported into Artcam Pro where the final details and text were added.

Version 1 - begins with the receipt of a “line art” drawing of the desired seal.

This drawing is then imported into Freeform and used as a template upon which to begin building the individual parts that make up the final digital model.

The completed Freeform model was then imported into Artcam Pro where final details were added.

Version 2 - “line art” reference drawing

This green model is a medium resolution OBJ mesh version of the Freeform model. The OBJ mesh was then imported into Lightwave where this test rendering was generated.

The shadowing under the feathers in the wings is the result of non-planar polygons. This can be eliminated by exporting the OBJ model at a higher resolution.
