SMALL BRONZE TRYONX TURTLE

In designing the bronze, the object was to free the turtle from the matrix. Doing so would then allow the finished piece to be mounted slightly in front of a vertical surface, enhancing it dimensionally.

To accomplish this, many hours were invested sculpting the edges of the turtle castings.

Upon completion, the patterns for the components were then molded. These molds were in turn used to create wax castings that are necessary for the “lost-wax” casting process.
